Gnome House, a Community Arts Centre and Exhibition space in East London

www.gnomehouse.org

In 2013 I became a volunteer Director of Gnome House and worked with a team of community activists to transform a derelict factory into a thriving community arts and exhibition centre. Since Gnome House opened in 2015 I have co-curated several exhibitions with fellow Director, Anna Alcock.

In June 2018 Gnome House held its most ambitious exhibition to date which involved over 100 artists, six schools and exhibitors from all over London, the UK, Germany, Mexico and the USA. This exhibition was called, ‘We are the Leaders We have been waiting for,’ and was inspired by the anti-gun student activists of Parkland, Florida, and also the tragic killings of young people that happened within a few hundred metres of Gnome House. This exhibition received local and national press coverage.
