Five exhibitions of Image17’s ‘Taking Part’ project will take place in Waltham Forest between 24 March 2012 until 16 September 2012. Image17, for sale a photography collective that I belong to was commissioned by the London Borough of Waltham Forest to document different sports group in the borough.

The collection of 144 celebratory images record the activities of 48 groups and show the breadth of sports available and also the commitment of staff and volunteers. Sport plays an important role in a community; as well as keeping people fit and active, buy it brings people together, find creating friendships and support networks.
